You just can't beat a Travel Agent
Hi Travellers

TripAdvisor, with its millions of followers, has effectively given every John & Jane Doe with a voice or an opinion the reach and punching power of a professional reviewer, traveller or critic, and that's fantastic! Or is it?

After finding a curious one star review on the Grand Canyon (pictured above) we weren’t so sure, so we went online and looked up a few more of America’s most famous attractions. Here are just a handful of the one star TripAdvisor reviews we found:
Alcatraz
"Not a decent restaurant in the place."
"So it was a prison on an island. Big deal."
Time Square
"If you want to see what it's like to exist in a herd of cows then I'd recommend it.”
Golden Gate Bridge
" A bridge. Covered in fog. It's pointless.”
"Colour wasn't exactly as advertised."
Empire State Building
“32 bucks to watch bizarre public displays of affection and smell potent body odour.”

SO you were thinking about a family vacation to the west coast of the USA – an investment of thousands of Dollars – but now you’ve read the reviews; are you still sure you want to go? Maybe not…
What if we told you...

That the Golden Gate reviewer above visited in the middle of Summer, which we happen to know is when the fog is at its worst? What if we then told you that the best time to visit the area was actually September-November; the weather is slightly warmer & the fog is at a minimum, so it’s unlikely to ruin your sightseeing?

And did we mention that because it’s after the main tourist season the hotels offer better deals and extra value?

That’s what we call the ‘sweet spot’ and that’s the type of qualified advice that our travellers benefit from when planning their holidays. So by all means do some surfing and jot down some ideas of where you want to go for your next trip… but let us take care of the details!
